About

Shahin also goes by “Sha,” is the heart and soul of Study Dorm. She holds a masters degree in electrical engineering, Shahin never worked a day in the corporate world because her passion has always been teaching. She started tutoring math to middle schooler, helping her cousins and eventually, dozens of neighborhood kids. Her natural ability to explain complex concepts simply earned her a reputation early on.


After serving as a teaching assistant at the University of New York, Shahin moved to Houston and founded Study Dorm. What began as a one-woman operation has grown into Sugar Land’s most trusted math tutoring center. Shahin believes there’s no such thing as “I’m bad at math.” Her mission is to help students of all ages build confidence and competence through compassionate and expert instruction.
